The PCMCIA memory card is type II. Have found plenty of PCMCIA cards that convert to USB outputs, but not the other way around. The laptop is a Compaq. Thanks!
Where do I buy a device to read PCMCIA memory cards with USB 2.0 or firewire?
Unless I misunderstand your question, what you need is a USB Card Reader. You can go to the website of any popular Electronics supply store (compusa, best buy, radio shack), or try ebay. These are fairly cheap, and even with shipping you should be able to get one for about $20.
Do a search for usb PCMCIA card reader.
