I just purchased a Polaroid i533 5.0 MP digital camera. What memory cards would work w/the camera?

What would be the price range and how long do the memory cards last?

That camera uses a Secure Digital (SD) or MultiMedia Card (MMC); they are the same card, it just has 2 different names.

As for price range

256 Mb (holds about 100 pictures) - $19.99

512 Mb (holds about 200 pictures) - $24.99

1 GB (holds about 400 pictures) - $39.99

And the one to buy...

2GB (Holds about 800 pictures) - $29.99 on sale this week at walgreens, regularly $49.99

All prices are in store prices on San Disk (a good name brand) cards, the 2GB card is available this week at walgreens.com as well with FREE shipping (link below)

The number of pictures are estimates only, and are based on your camera being set to its HIGHEST resolution (where you should set it and leave it for the most part).

As for lifespan, several years... just delete the images off the card and keep going, make sure you put the images on CD before you delete them, the CD becomes your negatives if you ever want to make more prints. Don't just store them on your computer, something happens to your computer and they could all be gone.
Reply:Any SD card up to 1 GB should work. I'd test out anything larger, but I don't think you need more than 1 GB.

Wal Mart has some for $15-17

The life span is anywhere from 3 months to 10 years. Most cards come with 1-5 year warrantees, keep your recept.

I'm not seeing as many "bad" cards today as I did a year ago.
Reply:the manual or the manufacture website should answers all the above questions and even more.
