It uses both memory cards and hard drive. If you run out of space on your hard drive you either have to buy another hard drive or buy a memory card. Hope this helped.
Reply:It depends on what you buy. A normal xbox will work on memory cards or with a hard drive if you buy it seperately. If you bought a deluxe kit then you get a 12 gig memory card with it. If you get the brand new shiny black xbox it has like a 100 gig memory so no worries there.
Reply:Both hard drives and mem cards. It depends what XBOX you get. The one w/o the hard drive is cheaper at first and the mem cards allow you to take your games to other places.





The one with the hard drive however, in my opinion is better though it is $100 more since it is more convienient and saves you more money in the long run.

My friend purchased one with a memory card but in order to download any games you need either the 20 or 120 gig hard drive. 20 gig is a hundred bucks while the 120 gig is 179.99 so he had to buy a hard drive anyway plus you get a headset and wireless controller if your purchase the premium xbox360 so go with that or if you got the loot get the elite!

Reply:Either. If you have the core system with no hard drive, you have to use cards. The premium system comes with a 20gig hard drive. It's so worth it to have the hard drive. It's one hundred more dollars, but you also get a wireless controller instead of a wired one that you get with the core. The memory card costs about 60 bucks I think.

Also regular xbox does use memory cards but, you have so much built in memory you don't need it. Unless you are going 2 a friends house or something...
Reply:360 you can do either or........memory cars come in like 64MB...at least thats what I have......hard drives have a crazy amount of storage, but if you dont get it with the system it costs 100 dollars
