HOW DO SD (for camera )memory cards work?

I'm not sure how the memory cards work do i put it in before taking pictures ? when i get home can i hook it up to my pc as usual ? OR do i need to do something different

Yes, put it in the camera BEFORE you take any photos. Unless your camera has internal memory you will not be able to take pictures before inserting it.


After you take the photos you can either remove the card and insert it into a card reader on your computer of plug a USB cable into the computer ant into the camera to transfer the photos.
Reply:Haha. I was getting ready to say "It's magic", but then I see the rest of your question. Film I have a dim grasp of how it works. Anything involving computers or electronics just seems like magic to me!
Reply:You have to put the memory card in your camera before taking the pictures for them to be saved on the card. Other than that your computer should reconize the card in the device as it does the camera; nothing different.
