Just got a PS3 for christmas, and I would like to know how to take my 3-5 memory cards PS1+2 toss them on a small memory stick and put them into my hard drive.
How do you take memory cards from PlayStation1 and PS2 to a PS3 80gb?
The only way i know of is to purchase a "memory card adaptor" peripheral (Sony licensed peripheral) connect it to your ps3 and you should be able to dump your saves onto a ps3.

How do you compare mini sd card to other memory cards when it comes to performance?
I have heard that mini sd card is the cheapest among all memory cards but slowest in performance. How true it is?

there is no difference in performance depending on size
the MMC/micro sd / mini sd/ and fullsd are all just sizes of cards that range in a wide variety of actual storage 512mb all the way up to 5g the difference however can be found in the manufacturer of the card itself but the size doesnt matter in this case

Wanting to buy a memory card for PS2. What's the difference between Datel Memory cards and Sony Memory cards?
I've seen that Datel memory cards are cheaper that Sony memory cards for more MB space, but it's got me wondering if Datel is reliable. Which one should I buy?

There have been way too many complaints about non-Sony brand memory cards malfunctioning - especially those that use non-standard methods to allow more than 8MB of storage. The last thing you want to have happen is for your card to become corrupted, causing you to lose all your save game progress...
If space is a concern for you, there's a product that allows you to connect your memory card to your computer, so you can transfer saves back and forth. This essentially gives you "infinite" space while only using a single memory card.

in a few months my 8th grade class is going to washington dc. im bringing my cameras because i love to take pictures, and i was wondering what is the best memory card that will hold the most pictures. i will be taking SOOOO many pictures, so i want the best memory cards. please tell me the memory card from radioshack.com that will fit my needs.thx

Reply:most likely you have a camera that takes a SD memory card.. go for a 2gb memory card it should hold about 600+ pictures depending on what megapixel your camera is .. if you need over a thousand pics then 4gb, but i know 2gb is more then enough and its about $25-30 dollars ..have a fun trip

Reply:Get the biggest GB memory card you can. I have a 16GB card personally, just so I never have to change them out... but most cards only go up to 4 or 8 GB.
Also, you might want to invest in many many batteries.
If your camera takes a special battery you might have to buy an extra.

Generally using two or three smaller cards is a better plan, since in you accidental delete images off the card and cause corruption of the image files you will not have wiped out all the photos from your trip.
